This might be my favorite Bad Felt song. Either this or Capital I. I was influenced by the original on the bass line, and I think that adds a whole other layer to it. The original was new wave, but i think the bass gives it a more reggae feel on our version. And as always, Bren killed it with the vocals. This band would literally be nothing without his input.
Here’s the other song I’ve written so far for the tow knee chavez album after next. This is my attempt at Minor Threat style hardcore. The lyrics were originally going to be a chorus, but I couldn’t think of a verse that would actually add anything to it, so I decided it would work fine on it’s own. Clocking in at 18 seconds, I’m pretty sure this is my shortest song to date. I could be wrong though…

First off, here’s a pop punk song I wrote for an upcoming tow knee chavez album. We’re putting the final touches on our next album, “Your Favorite Band,” which we’ve been working on for over three years. We decided that in light of that, we needed to make an album where we can just quickly write and record a bunch of material. I wrote the lyrics while I was watching Scott Pilgrim vs The World, but I think it might have also been partially inspired by My Upstairs Neighbors are Having Sex and Listening to the Black Eyed Peas.

Since before Cora was born, Ashley has been asking when I was going to write a song for her. I didn’t want to write something just to write something, so I waited until I was inspired to really write something specifically for her. And now I have!
It’s a short song (big surprise) but I still had some fun with the structure. The verses are almost identical, while the choruses vary. Also, the verses are sung while the choruses are spoken word. Last, the choruses are spoken by a three month old Cora.

This is probably the geekiest song I’ll ever do… The song comes from the book The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams. In the book, Dirk Gently forgot he had a client that he was supposed to meet at 6:30 AM. When he gets there, a little over five hours late, there are police cars in front of the client’s house. The client has been murdered. His head is cut off and lying on a record, causing it to skip and keel repeating the same line over and over. So this is that song, skipping at the same place, looped as many times as it is in the book (even though it’s obviously still playing when the book isn’t mentioning it). It might be a little annoying having the same
