I decided that I’m going to do love songs for the month of February. Here’s the first one, I Get Lost.

Introducing The Bad Felt! My friend Bren and I started this project years ago, covering songs from Sesame Street and other Henson works in a darker Tom Waits/ Nick Cave kind of style. From the beginning we decided to wait until we had three songs completed before we posted anything online, and that day has finally come. I’m hoping to use this song a week project to push us to work on more songs for this, and hopefully put out an album by the end of the year. Hear the other two songs at The Bad Felt Myspace page.

Last Wednesday I was so shocked to hear about the death of Jay Reatard, I almost stopped working on Pi to 100 Digits to cover one of his songs. Later that night, I heard that Teddy Pendergrass passed away as well. In tribute to the two artists, I covered Pendergrass’s biggest hit, in a style as close to Jay Reatard as I could manage.
